Happiness is a Broken Man...(a diatribe on the qualities of poverty)

Being poor in poverty is really not all bad
Struggling to just get by are great times, never bad!
To be surrounded by the folks that seem to have it made
Never bothered me a bit...in fact I wouldn't trade
I love the empty bank accounts, I love the minus signs
I really like the warning notes that list the fees and fines!
I like to face the day and know that if I break a bone
The visit to the doctor costs as much as buying homes!
I really like when all our friends complain about their boss
Who was a meanie when he only gave them three weeks off
Renting is the greatest thing, who ever needed cash?
You really have it made when you will never see it back.
Did you not know when Jesus said, "You'll always have the poor,"
He only meant the bums, the thugs, the crackheads, and the whores.
But we, the working, tithing bunch who never catch a break...
We really love it when our friends just spend, spend, and complain.
So when you cannot get that game of golf this Saturday
Just think of this old diatribe that tells you, "We're okay!"
You see when I am done with this, I'll go back to the wife
And say, "The landlord's kicked us out, but baby...that's just life!"
And when those hungry men with signs just make you go beserk
Think about my smile as Mickie D's says, "There's no work!"
Behind this blog you'll find the jolly, poor boy of our time
Bidding, "Eat, drink, and be merry...pardon while we die."

Sleep well everybody! ...your friend Andy
